L.A. 2600 both provides and has compiled a number of resources over the years that are of general interest to its attendees. While this list is by no means comprehensive, it should serve to give some idea of the sorts of things that are discussed at the meetings. There are currently four resources that we provide which are open to anyone who wishes to use them. First is the L.A. 2600 mailing list, providing a convenient method of keeping in contact with other L.A. 2600 attendees or finding others in the Southland who share similar interests. Detailed instructions for subscribing to the list can be found on this page. Next up is the L.A. 2600 IRC channel, #la2600 on EFNet. Much like the L.A. 2600 list, the IRC channel is maintained to keep you in contact with other L.A. 2600 attendees and people with similar interests in the area. Please note that while there is almost always someone there, daytimes are usually quiet due to most people being at work. The current list of EFNet servers can be found here. Third is the occasionally-updated list of talks, which recaps subjects that have been spoken about at the meetings as well as providing access to notes or other materials intended to accompany the subject mattter.
Finally, if you just can't get enough of that interactive social web 2.0 media networking connectivity, you can follow la2600 on twitter for meeting announcements, memorable IRC quotes, weird links, and other nonsense. On nights when we meet, updates will be posted when we switch venues, when the talk is about to begin, and so on. Please be aware that the L.A. 2600 twitter account is generally not monitored for return traffic, so if you try to get in touch with the group by sending a direct message or mention, you will probably not receive a timely (or any) response.
